- 1:43 means 1 cm model = 43 cm in real life. A 1:43 scale model of a car that is 4.80 meters long measures approximately 11 cm (4.3 in) in miniature.

- 1:18 means 1 cm model = 18 cm in real life. A 1:18 scale model of a car that is 4.80 meters long measures approximately 27 cm (10.4 in) in miniature. To get an accurate idea of ​​the dimensions of the individual models, you can look up the dimensions of the actual car online and divide them by the stated scale.
